  2. bananamilk24 | Jan 2, 2009 | Reply

Rap wouldn’t be what it is today if it weren’t for rock.

P.S. Modern mainstream rap sucks. If you want ART, you should try Run-D.M.C.

    Kashmir is top 5 material.:(

Its true rap wouldn’t be what it is if it weren’t for rock. why do you think its so easy for rap songs today to be turned into rock songs

  5. desertshield56 | Jan 2, 2009 | Reply

i believe that rock is the only reason rap is what it is today. honestly, i cant stand mainstreet rap, but if you throw some heavy drums and electric guitar in the mix, ill listen to that crap all day long

  6. Oatmeal | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

Thanks for posting the list. Time to get all of the songs!

  7. dumbego | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

this has got to be one of the worst lists i have ever seen. vh1 has never made a good list, but really. welcome to the jungle gets number one? back in black gets number 2? whole lotta love gets higher than kashmir? jimi hendrix doesn’t break the top 20, let alone the top 10? what the fuck was vh1 thinking?

  8. chris | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

Bawitdaba should be higher great trash metal song, although if a Kid Rock song was on their it should have been I Am The Bullgod way better than Bawitdaba

If you voted for twisted sister, quiet riot, bon jovi, def lappard or poison you should be shot the 80’s were gay except ac/dc,van halen and aerosmith

back in black im tired of that song its a easy riff and a repetative song, let their be rock is the best ac/dc song period.

Smells Like Teen Spirit should be demoted for ripping off Boston (More Than A Feeling) it was Kid Rock’s All Summer Long (Sweet Home Alabama) or American Bad Ass (Sad But True) way before those songs came out.

Hey Joe isnt really a hard rock song Purple Haze or Voodoo Child is and both better than Hey Joe which should be way further back.

Where is Rage Against The Machine at?

Lastly seriously Twisted Sister No 17 list lost all credibilty esp with no Iron Man listed or Black Dog or Stranglehold etc

  9. Tha-Pie | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

“C’mon Everybody”, where is Humble Pie on this list? I submit 3 songs in order of preference – “C’mon Everybody”, “Hot-n-Nasty”, and “30 Days in the Hole” – all from the “Smokin” LP from 1972. It’s old school but it doesn’t get any better!

  10. AiC = greatest ever | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

Alice in Chains – Would? at #88 is a joke. Easily top ten.

  11. Dave | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

    Where the fuck is Stranglehold?

  12. savedarfur | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

honestley, if you dont enjoy this music then dont waste your time posting comments about it.

i dont understand why you are arguing on a comment board for an article about rap. take your hateful crap somewhere else becuase nobody wants it here

  13. Burns | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

Rap sucks. But where the hell is NIN in the countdown. Some of this music is freakin’ gay. You can’t tell me that foreigner and Kansas actually rocks. Fuck that.

  14. Burns | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

What about Pantera. I’m pretty sure they’re more metal than some pansy ass Bon Jovi.

  15. Burns | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

How the hell is Enter Sandman better than… Let’s see One for example. What ever happened to Master of Puppets?

  16. stephanie | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

This is definitely the worst countdown. I just watched it and I got all excited to see Welcome to the Jungle as number one. Wtffffff? I mean it’s a good song but it does not deserve the number one spot. No the Doors? You’ve got to be kidding me. Jim Morrison is the epitome of rock. Without him, there would be no one. Buck Cherry even making the first hour is ridiculous. I agree that Kashmir should have been higher than Whole Lotta Love. And as far as you bitches ranting about rap being better, if it wasn’t for rock rap wouldn’t be around so stfu. Rock’s been around much much longer anyway.

  17. stephanie | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

One more thing, do not blame vh1. Blame the dumb asses that vh1 let vote for this countdown. Well at least blame them more than vh1 is to be. Also, coming from a teenager I guarantee that a bunch of nimrod twenty some year olds and other teenagers voted thinking they know what rock is when they really don’t. Pathetic? I think so.

    No Rage Against the Machine?

  19. rick | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

have you idiots never listened to helter skelter??

  20. clay hammer | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

this list is bullshit. no tool, no rage against the machine, no nine inch nails, no primus!? god forbid they give credit where credit is due…cocksuckers! at least they still acknowledge bands like alice in chains and the smashing pumpkins. fuck…

  21. clay hammer | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

    i fuckin hate the world!

  22. Shawnt | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

Man they had some great songs on here…but IMO Disturbed should have been featured…they gets no love from the voters…that sucks they are a HUGE band…atleast can I get “Down With The Sickness” on here? geez!

Stranglehold should have made the list over Cat Scratch Fever!

this list has a few holes definitely!

  23. Nick | Jan 3, 2009 | Reply

I couldn’t agree more with the people who said Rage Against the Machine should be on there. The list is HARD ROCK and several of the songs on there are not hard rock. How the hell does Rage not make it on there? What is Rage’s music too political? Don’t get me wrong Everlong is a cool song but not hard rock. Eye of the Tiger made the list really? Wow really need to check to make sure they are hard rock before you put out a list that says top 100 hard rock songs.

  24. scott | Jan 4, 2009 | Reply

C’mon…this list was basically about Hard Rock only…not just Metal..so, not a lot of our favorite bands were gonna make the list. Hell, I was most surprised Staind didn’t make the list…or Pink floyd.

  25. Big Richie | Jan 4, 2009 | Reply

Bulls on Parade isn’t really a song you turn up in your car unless your me or a metal head, while something like Guerilla Radio is something that is blasted, That should definately be on there. Its way harder then half the crap on here. In the 80’s Twisted Sister was huge and I wanna Rock is a damn good song, but it shouldn’t be in the top 20. I’m sorry but this list is a joke and loses any and all credability with talk to me dirty being on there. I can go around and ask anyone, hey you know talk to me dirty by poison and I bet you half the people would say who were from the 80’s and say No? How the hell isn’t Voodoo child on there, that rift is retardedly powerful. Does anyone here beside me have a problem with the rollin’s band being on this list? As much as I hate Linkin Park…why aren’t they on there aswell? Placing psuede rock/rap bands on there but not linkin park and yet every time a psuedo rock/rap band comes up they mention Linkin Park…gee…way to go VH1, fuckwads. Pantera again should be on there with Walk, or Cowboys from hell. SOAD shoulda been on there…

  26. xVanishingLightx | Jan 4, 2009 | Reply

where the hell is nine inch nails? seriously

  27. dave | Jan 4, 2009 | Reply

    Green Day?? Poison?? Bret Michaels??

Where is Disturbed, Pantera, Tool, RATM, Godsmack, Slayer?
What about Soundgarden’s Rusty Cage or Outshined

  28. fieldysdreams | Jan 4, 2009 | Reply

ac/dc and guns and roses should have not have had the top two spots.. espically with korn at 48? come on.. and they even beat out led zeppelin.. i dont think this is right..

  29. Nick | Jan 4, 2009 | Reply

I watched this list for hours waiting for Rage Against The Machine, tool, or even system of a down but they never came. Kid Rock, Poison, Foreigner, Europe seriously? I Thought VH1 would’ve got it right born of a broken man, bull on parade, killing in the name of, Boom, nope not one. Great job VH1…

If they could put free bird on there they shoulda put hotel California on there it’s got a kickass solo for a slow song also quit bitching bout how the list turned out I think the list was awesome ecxept for a few songs they did a great job on the list so quit the bitchin

  32. John Doe | Jan 5, 2009 | Reply

Who cares about the order of the list?….its 100 great tunes that we all grow up with. Doesn’t everybody own a ipod nowadays, make up your own list, have a beer, blast the tunes, and party it up. Rock on Bitche$

  33. Cmills | Jan 5, 2009 | Reply

    Umm…
Needs Rage Against the Machine… badly
Needs System of a Down… badly, not to mention Disturbed and maybe Linkin Park.
Smashing Pumpkins should be much higher and half the songs on here are not even hard rock. I about cringed at the top 100 songs of the 90s with all the shit pop songs on the list, but this one may be worse because the category is hard rock and songs like Final Countdown made it… All I ask is that just once my favorite bands get some mainstream recognition. I guess it is just my dream that everyone will realize that lil wayne and carrie underwood are no talent hacks and the real talent lies within rock n’ roll…

    ROCK ON

  37. patrick | Jan 13, 2009 | Reply

A little surprised that Everlong got as high as it did. Also I believe that Rage against the machine’s Bulls on parade was not on the list. . . .also no Disturbed Down with the sickness . . . Even though I cant stand Rage against the machine they did make an impression on modern rock

  38. patrick | Jan 13, 2009 | Reply

  39. amanda | Jan 15, 2009 | Reply

i found this almost unwatchable because that pansy-ass brett michaels was hosting. any guy who wears more makeup than i do, has obviously had botox injected in his lips, and is a male whore-slut (not in a cool, rockstar way but in a “i love new york” way) has no business being anywhere near hard rock. or rock of any sort.

and don’t get me started on that cracker, white-trash song stealer whose name i won’t even mention. of all the bands snubbed, HE gets on the list. ridiculous.

I was watching this and I was expecting Loverboy (Working for the Weekend, among others) to be on there somewhere. I was dissapointed they weren’t, but I chalk that up to them being a Canadian band and not as popular in the States. But what the real travesty was was the absence of “Born to be Wild” by Steppenwolf. That is THE definative hard rock song and coined the phrase “Heavy Metal” in the first place. I was half expecting it to be #1, and it should have at least made the Top 10. Instead, it’s not on the list at all.

    Bah…

  51. peter | Feb 7, 2009 | Reply

if you don’t like the songs on the list then you should have voted otherwise. it was the people choice, and just because they don’t agree with your personal favourites dont mean you need to shit you pants about it.

Why this people don’t want to make a research of good bands like: Stratovarius, rhapsody of fire, death, testament, kreator, hypocrisy, carcass or other heavy bands that have change the world of the hard music over the past 2 decades.

    Pathetic List!

  85. James | Mar 30, 2009 | Reply

Bohemian Rhapsody could’ve easily made top ten. I mean, it’s not like VH1 limited the genres of this 100 Hard Rock Songs countdown to Hard Rock, no, with songs like Talk Dirty To Me featured on the list, I don’t see why Lose Yourself by Eminem can’t be placed on the list. They both seem to be the same proximity away from hard rock after all.

    Fail list is fail.

Stupid list. 50% at least don’t belong. No Stranglehold, no Lunatic Fringe, no Pantera, Tool, Yes, progressive rock like Dream Theater or Symphony X. Only one Metallica, Megadeth, Black Sabbath yet two Winger and AC/DC. Stupid list.

  88. Garey Busey | Apr 5, 2009 | Reply

Freedom, RATM. About as hard and heavy as it gets, great dynamics, and holy shit the ending of that song. Unsung, Helmet. The sound of thing to come in the late 90’s, early 00’s. “Your contribution left unoticed some, association with an image” ‘Nuff said. Oh and fuck VH1 and there Brett Michaels, I Love Money shlock.

  89. Andrew | Apr 5, 2009 | Reply

Metallica should absolutely be number 1. Nothing will touch their songs that go up to 10 minutes that you can actually listen to till the end. These days the average song length is like 3 minutes. Master of Puppets is definitely a must for this list. Rage should be added to this list as well, maybe even Soundgarden too.

  90. Corey | Apr 7, 2009 | Reply

All the songs are good, but there are some that belong and some that don’t. But you need to think most the songs on here were considered “hard rock” when they came out. What we consider hard rock now isn’t what was considered hard rock then. and the majority of these, were songs that changed music. I would of liked to see stairway to heaven, paradise city, purple haze. and if a poison song deserved to be on it Nothin’ but a Good Time should of been on it instead of Talk to me Dirty. Welcome to the Jungle did not even deserve the top 10.

They saved rock and roll from punk and practically invented “Heavy Metal” PAY HOMAGE! Great guitar, ground pounding drums, unbelievable lyrics and who can beat The Vince Neil?! Any one of these songs should be in the top ten.

First off, should have made the cut:

Disturbed, Rage Against the Machine (seriously, HOW did they miss that?!), maybe Linkin Park. Maybe some others too, like Tool, but those are my top 3.

Bands that should not have made the cut:

Bon Jovi (holy crap! I don’t know what they were smoking when they made this list but it wasn’t legal), Kansas, Journey, Foreigner, Poison.

Songs that are way overrated on this list:

Welcome to the freakin’ Jungle (top 30 maybe), Whole Lotta Love (I’m only saying this because it beat Kashmir- I love both songs), Back In Black, Freebird, Hey Joe (that’s not even a hard rock song. If you put Hendrix on the list, use Voodoo Child or something and have him crack the top 20), Blitzkrieg Bop.

    Underrated, screwed, and snubbed:

Kashmir (the anthem of hard rock), Rock You Like A Hurricane, One – Metallica, Hot For Teacher (top 30), and much more.

If you’re gonna make a hard rock list, remember a slightly important rule boys and girls: use hard rock songs.

I understand this is more of a ‘main-stream’ list, but if thats the case, where is ‘Forever’ by Y&T. Bad Co.? Cheap Trick? Worst of all, no Stevie Ray Vaughan! Come on now!!! I understand he was blues, but he’s got a couple rock and songs that would blow the doors off of any 90’s or later music. I still cant believe GnR made the #1 spot. Its all nonsense.

First let me say this, I think that the people who voted for these songs simply played Guitar Hero on easy one time, thought they knew rock, went out and bought one shirt with Slash on it “Cause he is the most awesome guy EVER!!!!!”. Shut up, it’s cause he was on Guitar Hero.

Anyway, this list is missing a lot of bands (I won’t bother listing the songs, although I think they should replace a few of the bands’ songs with better works), like Pantera, Pink Floyd, Disturbed, Godsmack, System of a Down, Rage, Tool, Styx, Black Label Society, Drowning Pool, and the list goes on and on. Personally, even though I know they are kinda underground and not really mainstream, I would have loved to see Dream Theater. The technical and musical prowess of their songs are unparalled.

But yeah, this was probably the worst list ever, next time let’s not have Vh1 do a list for rock music. Maybe I should just make my own…

I’m not sure how the list was compiled….. did VH1 give multiple choices of songs of each band to vote online, or was there some sort of huge 500-1000 long list with an already pre-chosen representative of each band to then vote for???? Regardless, the list was never going to please everyone, and never will judging by some comments here. The other variable is how did they exactly classify “hard rock” from the other related sub classes of rock?? I agree with PJ really; thank f#$k someone is at least attempting to piece the top 100 rock songs of all time (even if it was hosted by a pretty bot soft cock!). As for rap, let em have it, hard rock rules and everyone knows it – thats something we can agree on! (p.s. AC/DC should have been No.1 ;-)

Nirvana does have other songs! Cherry Pie?? Are you kidding me? Even the songs that do deserve to be on here are in the wrong order.

I really wish Vh1 would stop worrying about appealing to losers who only know the main commercialized hits by good bands. Let there be Rock is 20x better then Back in Black and 1,000,000,000x better then Welcome to the Jungle. I almost had a stroke when I saw that was #1.

The only list I’ve found decent by Vh1 was 100 greatest songs of the 90s…but that might just be because I’m way too nostalgic.

Agree – anyone who calls Hendrix, The Who, Iggy as “posers” is a complete retard – apologies to retarded folks. And to dismiss blacks as not being able to play rock – why – because they’re black? Doesn’t even deserve a reply. Let his stew in his own drool.

Lists like these can be so subjective. It can never be all-encompasing. With that said, it’s not a horrible list. First, it’s hard to define what hard rock is (compared to heavy metal, punk, classic rock, etc.). Second, music types are generally too confined and the genres overlap to create confusion as to what is considered appropriate classifications (if any one at all).

Hair Bands can’t be disregarded in this list (Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, etc.) nor can earlier bands such as Kiss, Van Halen and AC/DC.

Grunge has it’s place somewhere on this list as well – Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, etc.

Where did hard rock and heavy metal get it’s start should be represented better – Black Sabbath (Ozzy), Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow.

Then we have the Metal crowd – obviously Metallica is the most commercial and successful of the bunch.

There is no way to appeal to the masses so this debate is futile. Just find the music you like and respect the decisions of others when lists like this are made. Better yet, make a list of your own and see how others react to your tastes.

For a Hard Rock list few hard rock songs made the Top 100. Maybe it’s because most heavy metal sucks. There weren’t enough Hard Rock hits to make a list of 100 so Vh1 pretty put in whatever they wanted to. The Who, Led Zeppelin, Rush, and (despite The Wall) Pink Floyd are Not hard rock bands. The genre they share is called progressive or acid rock. To further delineate acid rock Three Doors Down, Creed, AC/DC, and Poison are NOT acid rock. Acid rock is named after stoners or ,more specifically, Hippie stoners.
It’s sad that newer bands can’t hold a candle to the older ones. I guess that’s why bands like Led Zeppelin and The Beatles are considered the legends of rock. “The child has grown the dream is gone” hahaha. I don’t mind the new guys however because I don’t have to listen to them…until I hear “let me be myself” I really really hate that song (and the band sucks).

A shock to the system for metal fascists and people my age….

Ultimately, VH1 is a station for 30-somethings, so a list pertaining to a particular genre would be dominated by ‘classic’ and, sadly, ‘older’ recordings.

Whilst I agree with some of the list and some of the comments, the ultra-negative ones fail to take into account an important phrase ‘Target Demographic’.

Viewers of Kerrang and Scuzz are unlikely to be wooed to a screening of ‘Top 100 Rock/Metal tunes’ from VH1 and the reverse is also true.

I am OLD and have been a rock/metal fan for far too long and it is controversially (for people my age), but inevitably, true that rock and metal has improved drastically over the last 15 years.

If you disagree, take a trip to a rock/metal night or club, you will not feel out of place, it’s not an RnB club. You will soon realize there is much more to be gained from being blooded and bruised to ‘Psychosocial’ than the rotation of one’s hair to Judas Priest or other bands from “MY ERA” .

At a RnM night audience reaction is EVERYTHING and the following 40 tracks fill a floor with all ages, sexes, genre fans and every conceivable haircut.

If you’re a metal fascist you will not like this list but you need to realise your stuff is inevitably ‘niche’ driven and that if more mainstream stuff gets the babes in to your club, SURELY that can’t be a BAD thing. If you’re old (like me) you should have the experience to realize that RnM is evolving, mostly for the good, and if you haven’t got these tunes, you should get them ALL, soon, as this is the evolution of your music, to me it’s more like a revolution.

The biggest ‘Audience Reaction’ tunes at a RnM night are here give or take a few, if any ten of these are dropped for the last set of the night, most heads will return :-

why is every bad mouthing Bon Jovi? His music is deep, full of meaning, and inspiring. Not the mention the guitarist kicks major ass. Bon Jovi’s music has real meaning, and for all of those says wheres this song…wheres this band…this list sucks! Just stop and think. There are hundreds of thousands of great rock songs, and everyone has their own personal preferences. I personally don’t like Soundgarden, but Black Hole Sun is still on the list. I honestly like all rock songs. Early rock, Rock N’ Roll, Classic Rock, Soft Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, and any other kind of rock out there. People need to be more open to others preferences.

  314. Mancunian | Jan 28, 2010 | Reply

CALM DOWN PEOPLE.. I think PAUL made a very valid point.. TRY MAKING A LIST OF YOUR OWN AND SEE HOW OTHERS REACT.. That being said, this list could’ve been better (GnR being at #1 is not totally Okay, but definitely not JUNGLE), but it definitely ain’t a horrible list. Here are some of my points:
    1) The term “hard rock” is vague. Different people will have different definitions, but its logical to have songs with “heavy distorted guitars”. That term cant possibly b avoided in the definition, othrwise ther wont b any distinction between rock n hard rock… Thus, Beatles (even tho they wer a gr8 band) are eliminated, n also som othr bands mentioned by sm ppl. And with all the respect in the world for Bon Jovi, i dont quite think they are hard rock, but i may be wrong.

2)How the fuck can u possibly say that Hendrix was a poser. I mean grow up dude. Metallica is one of my favourite bands, but Hendrix is Hendrix dude. He brought loudness 2 rock, he almost got a movement started. Metallica themselves will agree that Hendrix has had som kind of influence on them. Hendrix definitely deserves to be high up on the list. (PS – I am NOT a Hendrix fan, but i understand his influence)

    3) Metal is another topic of debate. But keep one thing in mind. Hard Rock is Heavy Rock after all. U cant possibly define it with an upper limit of “heaviness” (for eg- everything heavier than Deep Purple is metal, not hard rock). So it is only logical 2 say that METAL IS IN.
So, an immediate consequence has to be MORE MAIDEN. I’m not just sayin cuz m a Maidenomaniac, but just analyze the impact that Iron Maiden have had, WITHOUT MUCH RADIO AIR PLAY OR COMMERCIAL SUPPORT. It is the one band that will have the least number of “haters” in the world. I think we can all agree on that. Jus consider the number of tributes (covers and bands) that have been made for THE BEAST.
And ya, more metallica for sure.

    4) Ther are many cases wher a certain song of a certain band has been listed, where ther are other songs from that artist that are better. Jungle, whole lotta love, sandman, Hey Joe are all exaggerated examples. Stairway n Kashmir are definitely Hard Rock n definitely Top 10. Stairway is a strong contendor for the top spot (Just my opinion). Others that cud’v been included are FADE TO BLACK, MASTER OF PUPPETS, HALLOWED BE THY NAME, VOODOO CHILD.

    5) Again, I stress on IMPACT. IMPACT, IMPACT, IMPACT. This is a greatest 100 list after all. Kashmir so infamously popularised the Open Dsus4 tuning, Master of Puppets characterised the Palm Mute and Downpicking, Voodoo Child had all those crazy steroephasing effects, and dont even get me started on the power chord “GALLOP”, that became famous with Hallowed…

6)MODERN ACTS & PERSONAL FAVOURITES- I’m very serious about this and for this i’ll stick to my definition of hard rock. THERE ARE VERY FEW NON-METAL HARD ROCK BANDS TODAY THAT AREN’T SIMPLY MAKING AND MIXING STUFF FOR IT TO SELL. KoRn are a good band in their own way but they just dont hav the authenticity to make this list. Evanescence are good, but aren’t we talking of “Greats”?? The band is literally dead now, and do you really see “Bring Me To Life” being played over and over in 50-60 years to come and have a tag of greatness associated to it, (the sort that some metallica, hendrix, GnR, ACDC songs have)??? I guess you see my point now. The same applies for the likes of System of A Down, Slipknot (no way, even tho i used 2 b a fan), Disturbed, Killswitch, etc etc.. These are good bands in their own ways but c’mon man, v r talkin of The Greatest Hard Rock Songs here. Keep ur personal favourite bands out of the discussion. No fucking list can be made that is logical if u want 2 include these. I guess Godsmack comes pretty close 2 qualifying, but again I remind u that “Greatness” isn’t quite there.

    8) Commercialism – Well I know that for this I am gonna recieve some beating up, but I’m sticking my neck out. for all those who think that Teen Spirit shouldn’t be on this list, u r totally wrong. Teen Spirit became famous not for its commercialism, but instead for its “SIMPLICITY”. People found a song, a voice, a frustration they could relate to in Nirvana, and it was all typified by Teen Spirit. On the contrary, there is no way in the world that “Basket Case” by Green Day is the 34th best Hard Rock Song of all time. Again, I’d like to state for the record that Green Day used to be one of my favourite bands, but the secert to their fame is mainly their COMMERCIAL SOUND (their cover of “working class hero” kicked ass tho).

9)TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL!!!! I’m saving this for the last, cuz here I’ll probably be violating my own “Keep ur personal favourites out of the Discussion” Arguement. But I’ll stick my neck a bit further out and say that Tool deserves to be on the list. There are very few bands that can match Maynard James and Co. in terms of creativity, odd time signatures, purity, depth, complexity and intensional ambiguity of lyrics (remember it is top 100 hard rock SONGS), uniqueness and above all, NON-COMMERCIALISM.. And since drumming is such an integral part of Hard Rock, the credentials of drummer Danny Carey alone, who is without a doubt among best drummers of today, should get Tool in. I bravely nominate the songs “Lateralus”, “Jambi” and “Vicarious” (ther r a few others). At least 1 of the in the top 100 would definitely make me happy.

    10) These are all my opinions..

What’s really sad is that Budgie didn’t make the cut. They’re known as one of the first heavy metal bands. Budgie’s very underrated here in the US, which is unfortunate. How can you not include “Breadfan”?

If you’ve never heard of them, check them out.

You are all fucking nuts.MISSISSIPPI QUEEN is not on the list so that alone voids the whole damn list.CMON MAN… A 300 lb rocker blastin at full distortion with searing leads and in your face vocals..IN 1970!!!!..This WAS the 1st true hard rock song…And while im at it..GREEN MANOLISHI instead of breaking the law.. And CITIES ON FLAME instead of dont fear the reaper …EVERY B.O.C fan knows that..And dont think that im out of touch..My favorite band is PANTERA
