o she definately meant that.
watch the video people.
listen to the news reporter.
youll see.
Luis | Mar 30, 2009 | Reply
Yes, she meant it, but so what? If you like it then keep listening to it, if you don’t then don’t. Why not make a big deal about the other artist that sing about worst things? It’s just a song.
Hazel | Mar 30, 2009 | Reply
WOW…people..wait..parents are stupid. Of course she meant it. The lyrics go “all of the boys and all of the girls are beggin to F_u_c_k me!” Parents who have a problem with their kid hearing that song probably don’t know the stuff their kids listen to with their friends…They probably think she’s still the innocent lil girl from the mickey mouse club…people who let their kids listen to anything then get upset when they finally hear the words or understand it make me sick…
Crystal | Mar 31, 2009 | Reply
Is everyone forgetting how genious this song is and what other artist would have the guts to sing it get off her back
brea | Apr 1, 2009 | Reply
Yeah it’s a good song- til your six year old daughter is channel surfing and finds the video (she thought it was the country music channel)I turned the channel quick! lol Good for adults bad for Kids.
Mandy | Apr 7, 2009 | Reply
Haha thats great. Go britney. Parents are making a big deal about it. I didnt understand it until I looked it up. If I didnt understand til I looked it up chances are your 10 yr old wont understand it. So people need to calm down. Its a great song. Made me like it even more. And whats the different..? Kids listen to “girl drop that ass down on the floor and shake it for me” like thats any better.
shawna | Apr 8, 2009 | Reply
yeah, seriously ..who cares if britney meant it. its just a song. goodness. there are songs out that there talk about a whole bunch of other stuff like pussy and suckin dick and all that stuff. and this song doesnt even say the word f.u.c.k in it. at least its not hearable…and its a song, normally songs dont make kids go out and do bad shit, then do that by theirselves. if you like it listen to it. its just a song

dude, she gorgeous so she has every right to mean that. I mean damn relax. I still dont really get the music video. She does need to start singing about something else tho. She past hits have been bout sex and stuff but the point is, if your as attrative as her, you can sing a song like that.
Ashley | Apr 15, 2009 | Reply
its a good song! shes a smart girl we all know she knew what she was saying and i wish they would play it on the radio its gay they dont!
Rachel | Apr 15, 2009 | Reply
okay people that are saying shes wrong, rappers are just as bad they say all that stuff and its so clear. I rarley hear anyone flipping out because of that. So if you think brittanys “on something” then apparently you think almost everyone in the music buissness is.
Jennifer | Apr 18, 2009 | Reply
Dude, its a great song, and its brilliant to be saying something like she did, and have it mean something else, buts its not as if she wrote the song anyway.
Kat | Apr 20, 2009 | Reply
I hope she meant it, because I think its cool. It’s one of my favorite songs on the CD. Besides, there are songs out there that are a lot worse that have no meaning.

OMG look im a kid myself and nobody i know knew this meaning intill this stupid kid looked it up and told the whole 7th grade class but still it didnt get to any younger kids. even if it did they would probably just say “what does that meen mommy” its harmless compared to everything us kids do i know 8th graders with hickeys ok so dont even say this is inappropreate for children. ok and they dont broadcast this song all the time so its safe to leave your six year olds with the radio just be carefull with the t.v. becuase they have really bad crap on t.v. but that has nothing to do with britany spears. she sucks and is a slut you have a problem with her bring it up to your kids tell them the rules that you stupidly made as a parent that must controll this stuff
Katie | Apr 28, 2009 | Reply
i agree with Angela im not gonna lie im only a kid (younger than 18) and ive had my first kiss about 19 boyfriends and a hickey .not the best behaved kid in the world as you can see but it proves that this song is the least of parents worries!!!

Hey I’m a parent and I love Brit. I am also not a “passive” parent. I listen to or watch it BEFORE my kids do. I know what they watch and listen to and when they do. Now my kids are little and have no business hearing or seeing anything she does. That is up to the partens to watch. You all know that Van Halen did the samething with their record too. For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge (1991) so this isn’t new she’s not that cleaver. LOL
tofuheart | Apr 30, 2009 | Reply
yeah, hell, whatever. if she meant it or not is none of our business, that’s right it was just a song. so what if she wants to get F.U.C.K.E.D, its her body dammit

I can’t believe what this world has come to. I must say that I have found that I personally like some of Britney’s music, but then there is the other 80%, these days, that are very distasteful and vulgar. This woman was once a mickey mouse club star and grew to be an teenage idol for children of many ages. Her music was sweet, innocent, and brought many smiles across the globe. I realize that she is now an adult, but that doesn’t mean that the young children that idolized her before will stop watching and listening. They (we) have watched her become a wife and then a mother, only to have a marriage fail and then abandon her small children. We have watched her provocatively flaunt her body both on and off the stage and attempt suicide. She is a disgrace and I personally and very disappointed in her behavior. She has mentioned before that no one realizes how hard it is to be her… I have no comments for this. Only a shake of my head. You reap what you sow.

People seriously leave Britney alone…She is an artist and has the right to sing what she wants. Just a few years ago people were freaking out because she used the word ‘hell’ in a song. Get over it! She is one of my favorite artists. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but no matter what anyone says or thinks, it’s not going to change the song! So either listen to it and be unphased, or change the fucking station!!!

Alexandra Rodriguez:
We have already heard enough of this “Leave Britney alone” Crap from Chris Crooker.
I also highly doubt that She wrote the song.
I also find it funny that either you are anti-Britney, or obsessed (back to my Chris Crooker reference.)
So parents get over it, if you have a problem, buy your kid an Ipod so they can’t let them listen to the radio (you should buy them a matching chastity belt as well), and crazy obsessed Britney fans, seriously, there are better things out there then Britney Spears.
I do not hate Britney just so you people know, some of her music is pretty catchy. But let me restate that it is the not the best music.

Hey, I think she was just criticizing the politicians maybe, like she got dual personalities in it right, one as the party girl and one as the politician or celebrity with a perfect instant family…a hottie hubby and adorable well behaved children, complete with pre-baked pie and all…so she is just portraying that “two-faced-ness” of certain people.

A few points…
1) Just because this song isn’t as bad as others doesn’t make it any better. This song is just a little higher on the slippery slope of morally corrupt pop culture.
2) My 10-year-old DID ask me and her mother about the meaning of this phrase. Along with “disco stick”, “lollipop”, and “dirty ho”. She may not know what these mean, but she’s certainly curious. Turns out she was writing these things down while laying in bed listening to a station we don’t approve late at night without our knowledge. I give her credit… at least she asked us first.
3) Parents aren’t stupid – they just don’t pay attention until after the Pandora’s box of morally-degrading music is opened by their kids, often without their knowledge.
4) Unless you want to live a completely spartan and socially-disconnected lifestyle, there is NO WAY to keep this dreck from influencing your kids. TV, radio, magazines and the Internet are too entrenched in our society to do anything more talking openly with your kids and hoping that they’ll make moral decisions about their activities and what they let into their ears and eyes.
5) A song is not “just a song”. A song is a representation of our life and times, just like music has been for thousands of years. Why else would anyone create a song? Anyone who thinks that a song is “just a song” is admitting that they have no inherent meaning and, therefore, needs to reconsider why he/she would waste time listening to something that has no meaning.
6) B.S. and other performers that derive their livelihood from debasing society are the result of our own ignorance and decaying value system. Our society has allowed these messages to gain traction and thereby make the performers famous and wealthy.
We are indeed destined to repeat history here in the U.S. Take a few hours to study the rise and collapse of the Roman Empire and you’ll see that we’re riding the same train to our own undoing.

Zoe, r u serious??? She doesn’t need help.. yes while some people might find it offensive, u gotta admit, that was pure genious!! How clever to hide that in there! I didn’t even know this until my girlfriend pointed it out to me and still I had to listen to it again to actually hear it. I understand the whole thing about the kids, but let’s be serious, most of the young ones probably have no idea that this is the meaning and the older ones are listening to FAR worst things!!
Nicole | Jun 6, 2009 | Reply
Ok guys.
I’m in college and didn’t even figure this out.
I think she’s making fun of other people who act innocent but really aren’t.
I’m not saying she’s innocent either, but at least she doesn’t pose to look innocent.
The music video is extremelyy sarcastic.
I don’t think it’s right for little kids to be listening too, but that is still up to their parents.
If you don’t like it, then don’t listen to it. Period.
Mindy | Jun 7, 2009 | Reply
I agree with Ben, little kids don’t understand what’s being said they just like the music because it’s Britney Spears. I personally listen to what my kids listen to and it’s not any worse that what we grew up with in the 60’s and 70’s, it was just worded differently. I applaud free speech. WTG Brit!!!

In the song “If You Seek Amy”, I believe this is what Britney Spears is trying to say: “Amy” in the song is Britney Spears. Throughout the song, she’s talking about her current situation with everyone trying to go where she goes (”I just want to go to the part she gonna go”), stalking her and writing up everything about her as though her every move is important (”Is she in the bathroom, Is she smokin’ up outside?”), know what she likes/asking what she likes (”does she take a piece of lime, For the drink that I’mma buy her do you know just what she likes?”), the on and off situation with everyone disliking her/liking her/bashing her/etc (”Love me, hate me,”), the news & paparazzi (”all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to if you seek Amy”) AND then she is stating her opinions on current situation (”Say what you want about me”).
Continuing, in more detail: “Can’t you see what I see” is referring to the fact that everyone “say what they want about me” (A line directly from the song) when they don’t see or know she know. The laughing part, which appears quite a lot throughout the song, is expressing how everyone acts around her. Laughing at her every move as though she’s some sort of entertainment.
It has nothing to do with sex. It has to do with a “play of words” (slightly) but its up to the public to hear the song, translate it into whatever language or way they can understand … and understand.
As for the music video, she’s showing the reality of what we all might see while we make a big deal since she’s a celeb… there are citizens who participate in loose sexual means.
Furthermore, “If You Seek Amy” “iF yoU Cee-Ka-my” (”Eff You See Kay mi” )”F.U.C.K. Me” doesn’t necessarily point towards f u c k=sex. In anger, you say “F u c k you” that doesn’t mean you want to fuck that person…right? You’re mad at the person. Put two and two together, people, and realize that this song isn’t as difficult as you think.

Erotic City by Prince is worse. When the song first came out and for a while after, the song did not get bleeped. Lets fuck until the dawn is said in the song. Only recently does the song get bleeped. Why did the parents not complain about that song? Berlin’s sex did not have any curse words, but they would not play it. Erotic City came out about the sametime and it was played all the time. Why are people so dumb?

OK people I think it is about 60-40 on who likes this song or not. When I first saw the video it announced before it that the song had a hidden meaning. No it doesnt just spell it out for you if you’re not looking for it but the video does have kinda a S&M thing going inside the house. But what I got from the video and the song TOGETHER is that what she does in her home is her business or atleast it should be. And that all these people expect her to be one way or if she acts out she’s a horrible person/mother BUT “all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to iF yUo SeeK aMy” hahaha in other words you may hate me but you wish you could be me or be with me. That is my interpretation! GREAT SONG Hillarious O and P.S. was that really pink a few messages up?

sorry I know I just wrote one of these but I hadnt read JD’s and first of all I would like to ask them if you are talking about the roman empire and all the other “I’m smarter that you” terminology why are you post a comment about Britney Spears what did you just to a broad search for “what can I b*tch about”? I personally have 2 small kids that don’t understand what Mickey Mouse is singing about much less Britney Spears but for older kids out there unless they already know about sex I dont believe they are gonna get the HIDDEN MEANING. And on another note our society has given traction to the morally corrupt pop culture because whether you like it or not the one thing that makes an artist is the ability to make the consumer if you will, connect or relate to their music, movie, painting whatever the main reason you like a song really like a song is because on some level you can relate and thats why people buy, listen, and enjoy music it says what they couldnt.

The song is about crystal meth, hands down. It’s a party drug typically done at late hours (closing up the club!) and is very sexual in nature (F-U-C-K me – brilliant coverup for a deeper hidden meaning). Also the lime for the drink that I’ma buy her is referring to a drug known as G, which is taken with crystal meth to induce a sexual hypnotic state that is often mixed with acidic fruit to cover up the taste.
