i also love this song, but compared to the ORIGINAL by BC Jean it just doesnt compare. I know BC Jean has given permission to Beyonce’s record company to have the song but she sings it with so much heart and with so much more soul and you can tell she wrote it for herself. Ohwell. bc jean sang this song! i know who she wrote it for and when she was writing it. beyonce is so un origianl…how disappointing. i gues she hasnt had any of her own real life experiences she can write about. She had a hit about shakin her booty. grr it makes me so mad. sorrry bc u deserve the credit. ur the best!

Things seem a little shaky about “If I Were a Boy.” I do believe that if BC Jean was notconsulted in the decision making process by someone she trusted that allegedly decided to sell this song to Beyonce, then by all means she deserves recognition and compensation for her very talented music. BC Jean is a hot artist and she will do fine, but I must admit I am extremely disappointed if the rumor that Beyonce stole BC Jean’s song are true. If so Beyonce has no other choice but to give credit where credit is due. And that credit should be to BC Jean!!!

Sometimes I wonder about some people. Matthew Knowles was responsible for pursuing the purchasing rights to this song BC Jean’s people sold the song to Beyonce’s people.If her people sold the song without her permission, then Beyonce didnt steal. BC Jean’s people did her an injustice. Matthew Knowles wanted his daughter’s name in the credits for the song. Don’t blame the singer for the crap the manager does.
